TEDxOshawa is in the process of creating a string of TEDxOshawaSalon events. These are meant to be intimate events where the audience can interact with the speakers. The main difference between the salon events and our annual main stage is that the salons are smaller events with an audience of only 30-40 people and only 3-4 speakers, and that they are subject focused. On the other hand our annual main stage on the first Saturday of May, has a diverse line-up of speakers and topics.
TEDxOshawa's very first salon event is coming up on Nov 28th. Tickets are only $15 on Eventbrite. The topic is "Winter Blues and Mental Health." We have 3 accomplished speakers who will talk share practical strategies we can take away and apply.
Victoria Pulla, MSW, RSW will facilitate breath work.
Lia Bandola will facilitate journaling and other self-discovery exercises, and
Angela Cain will share her story of recovery and resilience
